I am facing an issue with software that requires macOS 12 or later, but my MacBook Pro is still using Mojave (10.14.x), so I really want to update. I went to this link https://support.apple.com/en-us/102662 to find out what I should do. I decided to choose the “Use the App Store” method, but an error appeared.

Update now found.
The requested version of Mac OS is not available.

I did a lot of research to understand what was happening and how to fix it. In the end, I realized that I needed to update to macOS 11 “Big Sur” first, and then to Monterey. It’s done now! so ez right?
